# Sandcastle Labs

Sandcastle Labs is an agent-native software studio based in Denver, CO. We build four or five products a year, run them in public, and share what we learn. The chronicle on this site is the studio's working record: build logs, essays, company updates, and machine-readable catalogues designed for agents to read alongside humans.

## What we do

We build agent-native products — software designed from the ground up for AI agents to use, not just accommodate. Beacon (working name) is our first product, in development in the GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) space. An official name is coming soon.

We also consult with a small number of operators each quarter, mostly SaaS sales and marketing teams putting AI to work without cutting headcount.

## How this site is organised

Two primary content kinds (build logs and essays) plus monthly updates. Each post optionally carries a series and an arc.

- **Arcs** (/arcs/) — bounded stories with an ending question. Currently active: Founding 100 Days, Beacon Season 1.
- **Series** (/series/) — long-running tracks. beacon-build, studio-build, chronicle-build, field-notes, playbook, company-update, changelog.
- **/now** — the studio's weekly heartbeat in 3-2-1 format.

## Machine-readable surfaces

- /chronicle.json — structured catalogue of every published post with kind, series, arc, authorship label, commit anchor, outcomes. Schema version 1.
- /llms-full.txt — full source bodies for every published artifact, header-delimited for LLM ingestion.
- /agents — reading guide for agents and the operators who run them, with starting prompts.

## How posts are produced

Every post on this site is drafted by an AI pipeline (the Chronicler) from real working sessions and commits, then edited by a person before publishing. Each post ends with a "How this was made" footer; substantial posts include the date range, session count, and commit count behind them. The pipeline is documented at /writing/how-the-chronicle-works/. We intend to publish the pipeline (skill, voice rules, schemas) as a public repository; until that link appears here, no public repo exists.
